About
Elizabeth McDonald
I have a degree in English/Creative Writing with a background in business development, management, and real estate. My careers always involve working closely with people and understanding their needs. When I became my mother’s main caregiver it dawned on me that not all older folks have a daughter nearby to help schedule doctor visits, pay bills, pick up library books, and keep their home in order. Thank Goodness! Senior Concierge was born from a desire to help seniors, but also because I really liked hearing my mom say “Thank goodness you’re here!” whenever I walked in the door. And I’ve been hearing “Thank goodness” from happy clients since 2009!
I have great organizational skills, a ton of common sense, a clean driving record, a sunny disposition, a lot of patience, a good sense of humor, and a can-do attitude.
Incredibly fortunate to be a homeowner in North Berkeley since 1997, I am a homebody-- most content when sewing, crafting, gardening, reading, hiking with my son, and kicking my husband’s butt in Scrabble.
Thank Goodness!
Senior Concierge Services
I work exclusively with seniors and their families, and am sensitive to the challenges “sandwich” families face when juggling responsibilities. Communication is key, so I keep everyone who wants to be involved in the loop via email, phone, or texts.
Let me take on your to-do list, help you with a special project, or take you on an outing. Please take a look at my list of services and call me to discuss your specific needs.
If you don’t see the service you need, please ask. This list is just a sample of the support I can offer.
